ActiveSMS - SMS ActiveX - ActiveSMS is an ActiveX DLL that allows you to fully handle GSM, GPRS, HSCSD and UMTS terminals.

Easily integrable into any application written in whichever language that supports ActiveX technology (Visual Basic, Visual C++, .NET, Borland Delphi, Power Builder, etc..), ActiveSMS was designed mainly to provide developers with a tool capable of sending and receiving SMS messages with optimal performance.

It supports serial connections , IrCOMM, IrDA, USB and Bluetooth and allows to communicate with the terminals both in PDU mode and in Text Mode.

I did download the trial version but it had a problem picking my Falcom Tango GSM modem. I tried with Active Xperts it picked immediately just wanted to try it out on your software.

I tried to send a test SMS to my own Cell #, it displayed the following message on the status bar at the bottom of screen:
Modem disconnected at COM3 on 8:30:43 after sending 0 messages. Sending of 0 messages Failed.

thank you for yhe information bout sms in visual basic...i found new method to send sms using ms visual basic...however, using activeSMS is not help me very much.i trace the data of the gsm that is used to send sms using serial mon and used serial port component in ms visual basic and put all the output data of computer that interface to gsm to write all the data.

Hi, the design is very precise and straight forward. I had imagined it to be so very difficult, but you managed to open me up. I only would wish to know more about linking individual computers using the internet so that they may share a program and database like sql without necessarily designing the program for the web. Do you know what I mean? That is a standard program that shares a database from server of a local area network. The idea is to make the internet look like a local area network and be able to point to an individual computer on the network.

I downloaded a Demo program of 2.3 MB and can't seem to find the Dll amongst the Demo Program (ActiveSMSDemo) although the Website reported a size of 1.8 MB
